My question is, do I need to get Custom Brackets QR plate, or can I just use the quick release system of the 486RC2? If I have to get the QR plate, will it still work with the 486RC2, or should I get just the 486 head without the quick release? Hope this isn't too confusing... thanks for the help!! Tommy

Call and ask if their bracket has a female 1/4-20 threaded hole on the bottom. If so, you can attach the Bogen QR plate to it easily. If not, maybe you can drill and tap the hole that you would need.
