I'm using a tamron 28-75 2.8 and I love this lens. It takes great pictures etc, but i'm thinking about getting a canon 24-70 2.8

Should I keep my tamron and just buy a 70-200 2.8 IS II
or sell the tamron and get the canon 24-70 2.8, 50 1.4 and 85 1.8? Thanks in advance. Btw I will have all of those lenses by the end of the year, but I was trying to just buy the more expensive one first.

I don't think there's a right or wrong answer to your qestion....

What do you think the 24-70 will give you over the 28-75?

I think getting the 70-200II first makes more sense.

Is the Tamron letting you down somewhere along the line? You need to decide what will benefit you the most from your options.

I've had the Tamron for several years, and once borrowed a 24-70 to see if it would be worth "upgrading". Focusing speed was better on the 24-70, but generally speaking the images from the two lenses were equally good. And the 24-70 is a large beast; I didn't enjoy carrying it around. I've always liked my Tamron, and the experience with the 24-70 solidified that. I kept my lens and haven't ever considered upgrading it since.

In your shoes I'd go for the 70-200 instead.
