Help with computer problem - won't fully boot windows

Thanks Dave i'll look into that. The trick is booting with that SSD enabled. It's been fine on two PCs for about 9 months.

Prime95 has been running fine for an hour, core temp 53 degrees C, so that's fine.

Guess you have it solved now but
- Which SSD brand and make, does it use SandForce controllers (which have a bit of a history now)
- SSD/ mobo firmware update
- BIOS SATA settings

- OWC SSD 3G 120G, Sandforce based.
- Have reset BIOS, only change from default is to set to AHCI/ACHI (I forget which way around that goes)

Well, it seems fine now. I've done a system restore, i've updated my SSDs firmwares, and it's running like it never had a problem. I've run my system image backups to refresh my backup (but kept the old version), and i've rebooted a few times.

I'm going to blame this one on Windows, for now, since I can't think what else it could be.
