Alien Storm Front

The other night, while on the way home from clients shoots, I wasn't expecting to see aurora. It just came from nowhere. Driving home through the forest you cant see much of the sky save for what is in front of you. I happened to glance to my left and noticed some aurora activity through the trees. Being low on gas and needing to get home to work on client photos I decided to go for it and take a detour. It took me about 10min to find a suitable location and to all my luck and amazement the aurora delivered some of the best I've ever seen. The peak of the show happened while taking this 7 angle panorama.

Camera: 40D
Lens: Canon 10-22mm
Shutter: 30 seconds (x7)
ISO 500
F3.5
I used auto focus and focused on the brightest star then switched the lens to manual focus so the focus doesn't change.

Killer shot Scott but how did you get the Aurora to stitch cleanly? Isn't it in constant motion?

Luckily these aurora were not moving too fast and kept the same shape long enough for this pano.
