lloyd, you've proven to me how sharp the 70-200 f/4 IS is.. now I'm considering getting it.

I really wanted the new f2.8 mk2, it wasn't so much a money thing that I went f4 IS as a size thing for travel. I have not regretted buying the f4 IS one bit.

I wouldn't either--I've really been thinking of downsizing to the f/4 recently. The mk2 is all but useless as a long telezoom with a 2x attached anyhow.
