So, I've managed to break the hotshoe mount on my YN-467. I've tried gluing the broken piece (one 'wing' of the plate) back on using 2-part epoxy, but it's too brittle and just breaks straight off again. I have seen replacement hotshoe mounts around online - has anyone had any experience in replacing what is essentially the bottom third of a speedlite? The last thing I want to do is to disassemble the thing and get a massive shock from the capacitors...
Or, do I just cut my losses on what is only a £50 flash and save for something better? Keep the yongnuo (glue it to a plate and use it as a slave?) and get a 430EX or something?
Opinions?

I went through the same with my Nissin flash. Ordered spare bottom part from local dealer and replaced broken one by myself.

Turn on the flash fire a test shot and then just turn it off quickly to discharge. The part you will replace should not put you in direct contact with the capacitors anyway. Even if it did shorting the terminals will discharge it for you and unless you have a pacemaker it's only going to feel like a bee sting for a couple of seconds. In fact stun guns put out far more power and for longer periods so it's not that bad.
