I have the option to get this tripod for $65 http://www.bhphotovideo.com …DB_Tripod_Legs_Black.html (external link)
Then I would get this head

Not sure if I like the wing nutts.. do they lock and unlock in a half turn or do you have to keep turning them to lock and unlock?

Or I can get this one here for $100

I was gonna get the Travel angel for $150, but I think I might have some stability issues when raised about 4.5 feet.

Was looking for something not too big when folded up and one that is not too heavy.
Also, being able to flip the shaft around so I can get my camera to the ground for macro.
Is the Manfrotto model shown a much better deal then the Oben that I posted?

Manfrotto is gonna cost me about $125 and the Oben is gonna be $100

Aluminum tripods are heavy, and may not be tall enought with the center column down (most stable). Depends on how tall you are.

I'm sure you've heard the adage that you can only have two of these three in a tripod: low weight, low price, high stability. It's a compromise...if you want small, light and stable, it will be expensive, etc. If something is cheap and stable (Manfrotto), it'll be heavy.

If you decide on Aluminum, I would forget the others and get a Manfrotto.
