It's because of the big slow FF curtain on the 5D. It's fairly common....Zach Arias mentioned it in his first creativelive workshop. Kacey's 5D also has this problem. Same problem happens w/ different triggers (Arias uses the original PW, not the TT, some people have the issue w/ Cybersyncs which are faster than the PW). If you found out when you bought the 5D, you should have exchanged it because not all are that slow...

We're not talking about the PW TT's Hypersync, of course. If you're using the Hypersync hack (and you need the PW TT to do it), you want the longest pulse you can get, so fire the Einstein at full power.

p.s., oddly enough, Nikon's FF D700 doesn't have that sync problem...

Yeah I was hoping for the 1/200 but 1/160 isnt going to kill me. It would be nice to have it there. Thanks for the info :D

Don't try to confuse me with the facts, my mind is already made up.

Here are some I took today... they might not be properly exposed or anything to brag about. I got from work and I ran to get the stuff out before there was no light.

Here is the Einstein/MC2: As you can see I was in a hurry and the Balcar didn't hookup correctly.
