Pacific International Judo Tournament

This year's tournament featured a team of almost 40 judoka from Tokai University in Japan as well as a contingent of Brazillian fighters. Judoka came from across Canada and the US for this match!

I found myself in a bit of an awkward distance... a bit too close for the 70-200, but too far for the 17-55. I made do with the 70-200, but ended up tossing a few photos because I lost feet or hands

just my two cents worth...
i shoot karate and jui jitsu, never shot judo, so...
but faces, faces, faces!
now, i DO know how hard that is w/ the the way the action moves.
so, again, just IMO.
You must have had pretty good lighting. I have to arena-type strobe most
of the venues that i shoot in.
your action and timing are very good.
