Belmondo here.

This place sucks. I suspect for me, it's like a triple-Tuesday would be for JJ.

Just sayin'.

Good news is, I get to go to Fry's later today, and tomorrow, I get to go home.

Triple Tuesday.... that sounds rough!

Fry's can be fun. It is really good for esoteric items. I'm looking for a tool to cut square holes in sheet metal/plastic. I think it's called a nibbler.

Triple Tuesday.. Nothing can be that bad.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

Electric or pneumatic? I got a air nibbler. Noisy as can be but it beats cutting it out with tin snips.

Bi-annual neighbourhood rubbish exchange program. Put an old freezer and microwave and some bikes on the footpath. Now to see how long before they are scavenged. Local Council will pick up the left overs during the week.

It's funny to see all these light trucks go by with all this cr@p on them.

Sounds like town-wide garage sales here. Amazing what kind of stuff people will buy. Amazing what kind of stuff people will try to sell, and at crazy prices. Good bargains can be found, but one needs to spend many hours looking.

Yeah. We don't do free things much. Some people will put stuff out with 'free' signs, but they usually aren't much worth looking at.

Go to garage sale day in a small town and everywhere you look there will be pick up trucks. With most of them hauling some sort of treasure. :D

Oh boy.. Gonna have really sore hands if you have any decent amount of nibbling to do.

We have salvagers who come the nigh before the trashmen come and take anything that has value. I've met the guy and his wife. They make a pretty decent living salvaging. They are mostly interested in metals but some items are good enough to sell outright.

There are lots of salvagers around here, my neighbour included. My friend had an old BBQ that didn't work so she just put it at the curb and it was gone that day. Hard times mean that people will find any way possible to make a bit of money.
