Just saw a guy cutting the cords and copper tubes out of the freezer. Kinda p1ssed me off a little as it did still work - but was almost 30yrs old and very expensive to run and wouldn't seal properly - even with new seals a few years back. Silly to get annoyed about it though, I've no use for it any more.

Time for a guessing game. Which one is me? Guess what I'm doing at the moment?

I think my parents met, by letter, in '77. Then met in person winter of '77/'78. Married October '78.

My dad came over to England from India, although he was born in Tanzania, to meet someone he had never heard of for an arranged marriage (set up by respective families). Instead of marrying this woman he met someone else, the next day, via another family. They got married in India then moved to the UK in 1976. That someone else is my mum :)

3rd from left.

I just tried to write down the names of the class. I can get to about 15 or so. it helped that we were all in the same class from grade 1 to 7. These days they mix the kids up each year.

Arranged marriages are nuts.

My Dad lived here in Ontario, Mom was living on Thetis Island, BC. They met through mutual friends.
