Fry's didn't have what I needed, so I managed to get out of there without spending a dime. Found it online, and ordered it there.

We're going home today. I'm not looking forward to the drive, but can't wait to escape this place and sleep in my own bed tonight.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

That would really raise the anxiety level for sure. My worst flight was landing in TX during a t-storm. We were on final and really low and all of a sudden you hear the engines full throttle and a sinking feeling in your stomach. All I could think about was flight 191. We made it back up and went around. 15 minutes later on final again and the same thing. Either the conditions were really that bad (and the looked it) or the pilot was just really nervous from the first missed approach. Third time he made it but it was a rough landing.

That would not be a fun experience!!

I haven't flown much. Been to Ukraine 3 times - 2004, 2005, and 2008.

In 2004 we flew direct from Toronto to Kiev, found out how much my body does not like the altitude changes. Return trip I was pretty much stoned on Gravol.

In 2005 we flew Toronto to Moscow to Kiev. Bought the "all natural" version of Gravol that was supposed to allow me to take allergy medication at the same time. Well that stuff is just concentrated ginger. At that time I didn't know that I was allergic to ginger. Ended up puking for half of the 10 hour flight. The layover in Moscow was no comfort, and the puddle jumper plane we got on next was horrendous.
That day was incredibly hot out and the plane was parked waaaayyyyy out on the tarmac. We all get trucked out and get on the plane. First off, this plane stinks!! Stinks like something has died inside and they just pulled the thing out of the boneyard. It was rather cramped - 2 seats on the left, 3 on the right. And those seats were the tiniest I've ever been in. I found my seat, went to sit down and my foot went through the floor. The floor panel was not fastened down and when I stepped on the corner it flipped up. The threadbare carpet was the only thing keeping me from stepping right down into a very large wiring harness. Not a comforting sign. Anywho, we sit on this plane forever... no ventilation... it's getting hotter, and hotter, and it stinks more and more. All of us need showers, everyone else needs showers. They close the doors, and we think "finally! we're going to take off." Well they start up the right engine.... whole plane starts shaking, they turn it off. Start up the left engine.... whole plane starts shaking, they turn it off. Repeat this twice more. Level of nervousness is climbing. Finally they start both engines, whole plane is vibrating, but we taxi out and take off. By this time there's about 10 of us that are puking, everyone's soaked in sweat, and we discover that the commode does not work.
But we got there alive. Never felt so happy to get off a plane!!
Return flight was packed full of folks that seemed to be immigrating to Canada and were not very pleasant individuals to be squished into an airplane with.
2008 flights were uneventful, other than being stranded in Russia for 24 hours.

I think I'll start saving for a puddle hopper flight to the Ukraine. That sounds like an ideal vacation!

Or, maybe not...

The Malaysian GP was actually pretty entertaining. There were even a few passes. Much better than previous years where the guy that made it through the first corner in front was a lock to win.

NOT!!

The 10 hour flight across the Atlantic is much more preferable to the 1 hour flight. The 2008 trip I went alone. Had to take as little gravol as possible because I had to navigate my way through the airport on my own, rather than just following the crowd. I had the unfortunate luck of getting a seat next to an un-washed fellow that seemed to drink nothing but alcohol.

The country is a nice place to visit. Getting there and using public transportation is an adventure!

Nope, my trash PC needs to be re-imaged and i don't like to load Beta software on my workhorse. I keep that one clean.

I did read up on the new features and there look to be some decent additions.

I just downloaded it, haven't really messed around with it much. The ability to do minor video editing was a nice addition for me, it also seems like it should support more GPU processing which is awesome as well. :D

I'm considering it. On CS4 here at the moment so the jump might be worth while. Did hear some bad rumours about Adobe going to charge more for 2 version upgrades than for CS5 to CS6 upgrades.

No sense in my installing the beta....the release is not in the budget.

Same here. I really don't use the program that much to begin with, this version will be good for a long time.

That's what I have heard as well. I'm not sure if it's real or just web-lore
