Glad you made it back safely Chief...

Having had my fair share of experience with "race traffic," I feel your pain. :(

I read somewhere that California does something different with the lesser prizes....they pay based on sales within the state...so you might win more or less depending on play volume.

That's the way it works with the local state lottery, but I don't think it works that way with Mega Millions. That one pays the same as all the other states that participate.

My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.

BTW....try your scotch with a splash of spring water.....even the locals don't drink it neat.

Yeah, similar effect to the melted ice. It's much better once it's diluted a bit. :p

This wasn't just race traffic. It was a perfect storm of things coming together at one time. It was (in no particular order):
• heavier than usual Las Vegas traffic, possibly due to it being the last day of spring break for a lot of schools.
• accidents, including a couple one-car mishaps where the drivers apparently lost control and just ran their cars off the road. There were a couple of them tying things up, and that was long before we encountered any rain at all. Might have been due to wind.
• rain
• high winds
• race traffic

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

Traveling anywhere this weekend was absolutely horrible...

Sky Harbor was completely packed when I got in yesterday... I haven't seen it that busy in a very very long time.

Hey, gang!

I've been AWOL from this thread, sorry, "downsizing" some of my heavier POTN traffic I guess, so this it the first time even "looking" at the new iteration, so I've just looked at the last couple hours...

Chief, I feel for ya, having grown up down south, and I know things have only gotten worse!

As to lottery tickets, I've never bought one, but the way things are going I may need to win one!

Ah, let's see...whiskey:)! Believe it or not, I never drank much whiskey but in times vising my parents (down in Southern Cal) I noted that my Mom favored Johhny Walker Red Label, so I got into a habit of pouring myself one. Then back home I discovered that I like Jack Daniels bourbon better than the Scotch, go figure!

Hey Tony. Welcome back!

If you like bourbon go pick up some Knob Creek. It's delicious. :D

George Dickel isn't too bad. But I prefer Jack. For just pure enjoyment....it is hard to be the stuff that comes from a mason jar. ;)
