Sadly, it's something relatively mundane that's really ticking me off.
In the Canon Loyalty Thread... there are people complaining about getting refurbished cameras with - gasp - close to 10k clicks. The Canon Loyalty Program isn't setup for people to score sweet deals; it was designed in order to help people that had an older camera that was non-functional to recycle it, and give the person incentive to replace the camera by giving them 20% off of Canon's already reduced price refurbished cameras (and thus not have Canon repairing things that are out of warranty and probably more expensive to repair).
The people that complain about not getting low click cameras just rub me the wrong way; you're ultimately paying ~65% of retail for a camera that's been refurbished and returned to factory specs, and includes a 3 month (extendable via 3rd party services like Mack, etc) warranty. I can understand if you get a camera with over 25000 clicks (which someone recently reported) as you don't know how vigorously the camera may have been used, etc, but 10k and less, what are you expecting?
Sorry for ranting.. just irks me.
