Lightroom 3 question

When I select the brush tool to turn my photo to black and white , instead of desatuating the picture it paints red all over the picture, like a mask , what am I doing wrong?


Canon 6d, 7d2.
Canon 50 1.4, 28mm 2.8 is , 24-85, 24-105, 70-200 f4 is
Sigma 150-600

There is small a check box right under your picture, make sure it is unchecked. This feature shows you where you are painting.

Press Shift+O to cycle through a red, green, or white mask overlay of the Adjustment Brush tool effect.

Or, you can just click "o" to toggle the Overlay on and off...it's actually a handy function!
