Now that I am looking I wonder if I can get away with 1GB or should I go with more. I am not a gamer and my primary use is photo editing. But I use video more and more and HD fromt he 7D or 5DII work fine to a point, then I run out. Would some video RAM help for this?

Ordered ;) went for a fan less card, far less noisy. Cheers. I gues for 40 € you cant go wrong....damn, my works machine has a Quadro 6000......worth more than my car!

I went for the ATI Radeon HD5450, no fan, silent, 1GB and native res is more than my display can handle!
