I'm considering getting one of those for my 5D2, as there's nothing nearly as wide and affordable that I can find. I've read about the distorsion and I have a couple questions:
1. I'm thinking the mustache distorsion can be mostly corrected in post, by first correcting the barrel distorsion, and then making a second pass to correct the pincushion. Am I right in thinking that?
2. Is the distorsion the same at every focus distance? I see no reason why not, but just checking.
3. After fixing the distorsion and cropping the resulting image to remove the un-usable parts, what's the remaining FoV? Is is significantly altered, for instance bringing the resulting image to what one would have shot with a 15 or even 16mm lens?

I would say that the distortion of the lens is important if you are doing architectural photography. For landscape, the problem is almost invisible. The lens (I have the Bower label version) is really fantastic and very easy to use (of course in manual). What I do is to set the focus to around 1.5 meters, select f5.6 and you are ready (everything from 1 meter to infinity will be in perfectly focus). You should notice that the focus marked as infinity is really way beyond infinity, so if you use the lens markings as a guide your shots may get blurred. One way of assuring that problem does not occur is to use liveview, then close up to 10x and adjuts the focus to maximum sharpness (that is the way I set the optimum focus to around 1.5 meters).

Easy way to correct distortion is with ptlens or in Lightroom w/ the rokinon/samyang 14mm profile.

I'm not sure what the exact focal length is after correction, but it is still really wide.
FYI - this lens is as sharp as the canon 14mm L ii.

I don't have Lightroom and I don't see a samyang 14 profile in ACR :/. Is there any way to add more profiles?

If you have Photoshop, Google for the profile and download it. There are links here and on flickr (and other photo sites). Works fine. If you don't have LR or PS, PTLens is your cheapest option. Correction is not perfect but, as noted in other posts, not an issue unless you shoot architecture.

It is a very nice lens. You don't have to trim. You also don't always need to fix the distortion, depending on the scene. If you do purchase, make sure you have a return policy. The only issue I've heard is variation between right and left sides (one sharper than the other). I have a Rokinon version with no issues at all, but, while not popular, you will see the variation complaint from time to time.
