Hi to everyone!

Just got yesterday Marumi macro filter (+4) and so have nothing to do but testing it on my apartment surroundings :-)
First impression - not bad, what do you think?
I am ready to creep in my knees on summer times in search of flies and bees and creeping creatures ... :-)

Fool zoom, macro mode, without filter and with it. (Three sets, 800x600 px)

Excellent work! A couple of questions:

What size is the filter, and what adaptor do you use to mount it?

Were these images taken in Auto of Manual focus mode?

Thank you!

This is a 58 mm filter which I used with standart Canon 58 mm adapter.
Images I took in Manual focus mode, just focused on closest possible point. (actually moved the camera, to get focus)

Hi,

Since we're on the topic of macro/close-up(they are the same, right?) filters, I would like to ask how do you stack up several close-up filters. I remember reading somewhere that the big numbered filter should be the inner filter while the smaller number be the outer. Did I remeber it correctly?

Also, is it possible to add a teleconversion lens to the filter? Say camera + adaptor + close-up filter + tele lens. Or this has disaster written on it?

thanks,
Julius

PS. Am asking since I bought a kenko +1, +2, and +3 closeup filter today. Was about to add a thread about this if I hadn't seen this thread. :D

When I first saw the trunk I though this screams for stacking, but xentinel2 beat me to the punch. Check out the following thread or do a quick search with "Stacking" + "Focus" on the forums. LordV has some good stuff on this forum (what is the actual size of
the elephant?)

of course, using your link.

Anyways, I found some interesting reads about stacking filters as well. :)
