I really like the bottom half, the mercury-like water surface and the stark silhouette of the beast, but I think it would be cool to see a bit better the stand of trees far off in the distance in order to offer some more depth. I hate to second guess, I'm sure you've played with this yourself and found what worked for you, that best represented that moment when the shutter was pressed. This is a really remarkable setting.

I appreciate the feedback, Kevan! Thank you! That stark contrast between the bison and the river is exactly what I was going for. He was entering the river as I was reaching for my camera, and I was fortunate enough for him to pause right there. I didn't have much time for setting adjustment, but I was really happy with what I got -- especially when I converted it to black & white. That said, I'm glad you mentioned that about the trees, because it gives me something to consider and reflect on. Facebook
