I am very sorry for asking such a simple question, but I am wondering how would I attach my 70-200 MKII which came with tripod ring to the tripod? I have the Gitzo 2531 with M10 ball head, RRS L Plate and RRS QR lever. Do I need another part to attach the tripod ring? I have never had to use the ring before and I am not sure what is required?

Thank you.

You need a Arca-Swiss compatible lens plate. Since you already have Really Right Stuff products, here you go:

But there are other options such as Kirk, etc

Stick with the RRS plate noted above, so your gear is consistent. You have a fantastic setup. Congrats.

Thank you guys, I had a feeling I needed to get something to make it work. This hobby is starting to cost a fortune but so worth it.

It certainly is! The only problem though is the "expensive" part never goes away or lessens up!

There are a lot more expensive hobbies, and not a lot that let you sit back at the end of a good day with art.

Exactly.

Ever tried to sort out what a guy who collects Italian sports cars spends in a year?
