CF Card Speeds on an A70 (or similar)

I have a new Canon A70 and I have read a little about the speeds of the Compact Flash cards out there. I am looking to get a larger card (probably 1GB) and I was wondering if it was worth it to spend the extra cash on a faster card. Will the A70 really take advantage of the speed or does it only make a difference in digital SLR cameras? Thanks

I have an s30 with a Sandisk 128mb Ultra CF Card and I have noticed no difference in shooting still or video. However, the read/write times seem faster. If transfer speeds are of concern, I would suggest picking up a 1GB IBM Micro Drive along with a USB 2 CF Card Reader. My friend uses that combo and can trasfer that 1GB to his PC in very little time.
