I have not been snipe hunting since my youth.
I wasn't that good at it anyway.
It appears that you are an experienced snipe hunter.

Actually i have never seen a picture of a Snipe...
yrs ago at camp we would send the kids out on a Snipe hunt with a gunny sack.... ( even tho i thought it was some kind of rodant) LOL

Yes, that was always the challenge given, with the older kids knowing there was no way someone could get close enough to a Snipe to put it in a gunny sack. LOL

They are very difficult to find and to get close to so kudo's to you on this one. Love the water droplet too - :)

That's a great shot. I have only seen Snipes a couple of times. Last year it snowed twice where I was working in SW Arkansas and they showed up each time it snowed. The only lens I had at the time was a 24-105 and I trouble getting close enough to get a recognizable shot of them.

I'm pretty sure this is a Snipe. It looks a little different than Iras but I think it might be a baby.
