I'm wondering if it is a little chilly for them down in Central Florida as they remind me of our Gulls up here on a cold day.

IMHO
I like the idea of the shot very much and have missed this sort many times. It might just be my eye, but want for your photo what I always want for mine, a flatter angle and greater DOF.
