These are from a few months ago, just getting around to posting them now.
The light didn't really cooperate, but I think some turned out ok anyway. C&C welcome and appreciated!

1.From near "High Dune" (650 ft. vertical climb through sand)

The next two were from the approach: same shot, processed differently. I like #2, my wife likes #3. I'd be interested to hear opinions of others on this topic.

7. I might decide to clone out the airplane trail along the top edge on the right side here, and maybe darken the sky a bit...

8. This one needed quite a bit of processing to rescue it from the haze in the air shooting from long distance:

Thanks for looking!

Tony---Love #8! It might be my monitor, but the snow in the last one looks really blue.

Are you talking about the snow on the mountains, or in the shade on the foreground ridge on the left? I see the foreground snow to be really blue now that you mention it. I had not noticed this before-good catch on that...I might see about editing that one a bit more. Tricky white balance with sunset light / deep shade.

I'd forgotten how ugly the white balance situation was on the last one...to get anything approaching natural colors (instead of a mess of orange) I had to knock the color temp down to around 3800-4000K. (hence the blue snow in the shadows.)

As I don't have the patience to blend in multiple conversions to fix the blue ;), I took the easy way out and did a quick B&W conversion:

Great shots overall!

For me, I actually like BOTH #2 and #3 (along with the rest of 'em). My trek down there a few weeks ago wasn't so stellar, but I will indeed be headed back in April. :D

All are excellent, but I love the textures in 2 and 3. Nice work.

You've got some great shots there! I really like #7, and #8, but they're all good. I would love to go check it out some day.

Cool set. I like the black and white the best. It's some place I've never been - looks like a neat place to visit!

I agree. No. 8 is super. The snow looks fine on my monitor.
