We went to our local pond for a stroll and to bring some bread to the Mallards and Geese that usually hang out there.
One couple of Geese was there with the ducks. When a second couple arrived, lured by the excited shouts (bread! bread!), it was continuously chased and attacked by the first couple, particularly aggressive.
I managed to take a few usable shots, conscious that it's photojournalism rather than art :)
Thanks for looking.
C&C welcome.

2. Nap of the earth attack, head-on - the target is in the foreground, fleeing.

Yep, he didn't want to hear any of it. Thanks Sharon

Yep, very aggressive throughout the session, even sometimes with the ducks; he caught a female Mallard by the edge of a wing and did not want to let her go for what seemed a long while - created some racket in that pond. Thanks Eric.

So much for the nice world of our peaceful preferred critters :). Thanks Ian.

Love the avian photojournalism Gerard!
Geese are definitely territorial and food hogs and you've captured that very nicely. I love the last couple with the goose charging across the top of the water. Very nicely done.

Looks like Republicans and Democrats-lol. Or maybe just the Republicans. Anyway, great action series, I liked them.

Thank you Steve. Actually in most cases I can see a number of couples mingling without problem; I'm no specialist of geese, I really don't know why this particular one was so aggressive, so persistently.

Well, I did not ask their party affiliation - so I will avoid any kind of political comment
