I was trying hard to get a whole rotor visible, worked ina few but its hard , they move so violently keeping them in frame in focus is a major major issue.
Got a few full discs , but then the fuselage was blurred...Go look on my smugmug under heliheatwave

I got on your SmugMug site and you have some great photographs in the series. Brought back a lot of memories as I used to fly RC Helis....never tried to photograph since I was flying them. Thanks for sharing - really nice series and the rotor disks (main and tail) are hard to get both at disk.

Ahhhhh, whiplash is got me, Man when they do the big climb to the tailslide back down,
Man it kills you chasin em up , ....cause once theyre right up there, I cant catch em on the way back down,...

Walkin around like the hunch back of Notre Dame.......

If your into Helis, the guest of honor was a US guy called Matt Botos from Atlanta.... he makes Synergy choppers....pretty good flyer....Paid big compliment on my pics, getting some for his site.

for sure, it was an ongoing joke during the heli rounds at XFC that if you watch the media lines where I was you can watch all the cameras trying to keep up haha. and once in a while one would miss a move.. its tricky for sure.
