So, I'm looking into getting a mount. I was looking at one of the Orion TeleTrack's.

Would something like this be good for tracking, or should I hold off and save up for a different mount.

If you are thinking of photography (which I guess you are on this forum), then hold off or look for an equatorial mount. That would be a reasonable first mount for visual use and to learn your way around the sky, but you'd soon reach its limitations.

Only time I know my way around the sky is winter when Orion was out. I did look at some the of EQ mounts, but it's at $850 (Still one of the GoTo mounts).

Nothing wrong with goto. You want motors and that puts you in the goto market anyway.
The alt-az mount you're looking at will track but the field will appear to rotate so your exposure times become limited sooner than they would on an equatorial mount. Also, the loading on that style of mount is offset from the axis, making it hard to make rigid, so you'll be limited to shorter focal lengths.
It's not that it won't work. Just that it has limitations. It would be the equivalent of asking whether you should get a p/s or DSLR for night photography.

You can get EQ mounts with tracking but not goto if you look around, but there aren't many of them. It's also possible to get something like Orion's "Adventures in Astrophotography" bundle, which is a tripod, mount, tracking motor and camera mount. I used one for a few months, but quickly got tired of the alignment hassles and bought a used Meade LXD-55, which is an older model of goto mount. That has been working great for me.
