Thats an absolute classic location, isnt there a very famous pic from there (often reproduced) AFIK its tricky to get a train in the shot thesedays for some reason.

Yep. Morant's Curve (external link), after Nicholas Morant who was the official photographer for Canadian National.

I don't know about how tricky it is to get a train in the shot, but we got two 2 kilometre long freight trains going the 'wrong' way, waited for another hour, but had to do with this empty track shot instead. :(

Thanks! There are certain shots where I feel front and back bokeh make your subject pop a bit more than just a typical bokeh shot. This lens seems to be pretty spot on, but unfortunately its borrowed.
