The last from our last trip to Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge....

In the first two, I desaturated and reduced luminocity of the green and yellow channels, to better emphasize the subject... good, bad? I like it, but I'm interested in whether or not anyone else does.... I also reduced contrast, I'm normally a high contrast kind of post processor. But, it was just too much with, for instance, the white birds that already have lost detail. So, I tried something new.

[QUOTE=gchmblee;14548947]some pics from a grace potter concert tonight. all shot at 3200 iso

Very nice pictures. I tend to get quite a bit of noise when I use ISO 3200 on a 7D.

Just got my 7D a little over a month a go. These were taken with a 100mm f/2.8L. Still learning a lot from all these threads.

Love that last shot, WebSouth. I'd clone out whatever that is (someone's hand?) above her left shoulder, though.

Nice one Marm.

Got very lucky and saw a mother grizzly with her 3 cubs. Here is one of the cubs doing something which I think is rare, stand on its hind legs. The bears were a long way from us and light was fading so I made a decision to use my 70-200 II with 1.4x extender, instead of 400mm f5.6 lens. The ISO would have been too high to yield any good keepers due to the fading light. A 500mm f4 would have been perfect. In the background you can see the base of the Grand Tetons.

This was the mother:

Here you can see the Tetons in the background (good thing I had a 70-200):

Beautiful series, Alfredo! You certainly were lucky with that sighting, with the family so relaxed, too ...

That is almost exactly the picture I was looking for, for one of my empty walls! Very nice.

Excellent bear shots digital_AM! Really captures the feel of the Tetons as well as the bears.

Taken handheld with my 1988/9/something EF 24mm lens. It's slow and no IS but it's one of my favourite lenses for some reason!

Thanks MedicinSC. I edited it out of the picture. I guess I never really noticed it before.
