Seeing this shot makes me all kinds of jealous! I didn't make it to a single airshow this year and I've been wanting to see this bird in person for a long time!

Sorry to hear that you missed this year's airshow season. But yes, you need to see this bird fly. It's quite amazing.

The last airshow we had here in 2011 it was scheduled to make an appearance, but then was grounded.

From Friday around sunset, apparently a huge dust storm in Oklahoma was causing hazy conditions all the way in Western North Carolina where this was taken...I have tried many times to shoot an image like this, with little success...this one came out about how I wanted it to.

From atop Wayah Bald west of Franklin, NC.

Having fun with my 7D at night in the great white north! I set up to take some shots, and decided to try and obtain a glow to back light an old windmill, capture part of the milky way and then use a flashlight to paint the front of the windmill to obtain clear contrast. The image falls right in line with the motto for the city causing the glowing sky...Saskatoon Shines! I played with exposures, and angles...this shot was one of the best for the night. I love my 7D!
