Russ, I have also learned a lot from Moose Peterson pro wildlife photographer. Check him out. Really great to see so many bird shots here.

ive heard that name and seen a few shots in the outdoor photographer by him and im impressed with his work!

interesting perspectives on old school photography (and i love his differentiation between portrait and snapshot)

Thanks. I wish the light had been better and the perch more picturesque but sometimes you have to take what you get.

Thanks. Yes, that shot was taken at 4:54pm Pacific Daylight Time (the exif says 5:54). Sunset was at 5:17.
