Why I love craigslist...

Someone out there sold a Very Early model Nikon Rangefinder for 75.00 ....... Can't tell if it's a 1 series, S or M .. Either way... It was Mint, and included a lens...

bought my first camera off craigs list. A local photog had it posted. Met him at the studio he owned south of SF and a few hours later I had a great 30D, grip, batteries and some free lessons with him. All for the low price of 380 bucks. Got to beware of the scammers but, all in all I have had success with craigslist buying or selling.

I have never gotten a serious offer on Craigslist - they've all been people willing to pay me another 100 bucks so that I can ship the lens overseas. I think Kijiji is more popular somehow, at least in this area of the country? Or maybe Craigslist is more of an American thing?

Thats why I always specify "LOCAL" only, will not ship...seems to really cut down on the BS responses

Just picked this up from craigslist for $100 -did I do good?
It is in mint condition and takes awesome pics w/my 60D

Search for "Canon 100mm Macro non-USM"

They sell here in the Classifieds for anywhere between $350. to $400. routinely. More sell for $400. though, so you did good, I know I bought mine new and it cost me around $450. or so about 4 years ago.

Heheheh, I assumed that WAS the USM version, I have no idea what the non-USM version was, thanks for pointing that out.

$100. still has to be a good deal though, that is pretty good glass.

It's not a real bargain though. I would say it is priced a little too high.
