Wanting to start documenting some of the random craft brews with something other than a iPhone pic. So last night rolled out some butcher's paper and decided to make a go at it.

There is nothing particularly wrong with this pic(except maybe the glare from the bounced flash and the bottle needing to be turned just a little bit to show the entire label)... but at the same time there is nothing right with it either. I feel that it's missing something and can't put my finger on what it is. Any help or CC would be greatly appreciated.

it looks a little flat to me, might be my screen though.

Always do right, this will gratify some people and astonish the rest.

Looks flat to me too, and I guess a bit underexposed if the butcher paper is supposed to be white.

Is there a reason you put it against plain white paper, rather than in a "normal" setting?

Yeah, it's flat... like it's floating sorta. Couldn't put my finger on it but that's what it is. Thanks all.

Just bought a roll of butcher paper for the kids to play with and figured I'd give it a try. Most of the time it's just random cell phone pics... unless it's something "special" like my first batch of homebrew.
