This is going to be more of a picture journey then it is going to be a review. I don't really have much to base my opinion off of because I have not owned that many tripods. Thus take my opinion with the knowledge that I don't have a Gitzo or Fiesol to compare this one too. However I do know what good craftsmanship looks like, and can at least give you an idea of how this tripod is built.

Also - I apologize about the pictures. I was home sick yesterday and the weather was gloomy. All I had was my 580exii. So many of these pictures are far too dark and unedited. Thus they are nothing to look at :)

The carrying case

The bag is actually quite well made
IMAGE: http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/2875/img67623.jpg

This tripod is beautiful. I like that it sticks out a little, but it isn't overwhelming. The blue annodizing is a sight to see. It's toned very well and looks great.

Legs fully extended. The locking and tightening method for these legs is superb. Very strong and sturdy. The grips don't move and feel great in your hand.

Full height.

The bottom hook to put a bag/weight on.
IMAGE: http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/4049/img679210.jpg

It has a small silicone grip around it so that you can screw it off. This is to take the center poll out to be used as a monopod. I included this picture to show that this little grip makes screwing it on and off very easy. It's a little detail that without it would be missed.

The monopod leg that detaches from the main tripod. It's the one with the foam grip. The screwing and unscrewing of this is very well done and very tight when secured.

Full extended monopod. It's quite tall. Likely 6 - 6'2 feet without a camera on top.

The provided grip that each leg has. These are also removable

Compared next to Manfrotto 3001pro, Manfrotto 322rc2 short. An old setup. But was getting the job done until it was too heavy

Full heights

Compacted height

It's so sexy !
IMAGE: http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/2374/img68171.jpg

The legs have basically 2 settings. The one seen in most of the photos and this one. Seems to be enough to get basically any angle.

Fully compact and ready to travel

IMAGE: http://img803.imageshack.us/img803/3748/img68224.jpg

IMAGE: http://img577.imageshack.us/img577/9116/img68235.jpg

This is the bottom of the head pole. You have to extend it fully when using this method
IMAGE: http://img593.imageshack.us/img593/6224/img68246.jpg

The Head on this tripod seems very well made. Its a B1 I believe
IMAGE: http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/2302/img68085.jpg

All the knobs are responsive and easy to turn. The ball head didn't seem to slip at all when I was testing it. Granted I don't have anything very heavy
IMAGE: http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/5083/img68096.jpg

IMAGE: http://img854.imageshack.us/img854/1285/img68107.jpg

Everything about this head seems to be good quality to me. I have not found any faults.

The provided Arca swiss plate and where it's inteded to lock into

IMAGE: http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/5992/img68252.jpg

This plate was provided by the ebay company I bought the tripod from.
IMAGE: http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/7752/img68273.jpg

Same free plate, provided to make tightening with just your fingers easier
IMAGE: http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/1323/img68284.jpg

The bag has a compartment inside to hold small items
IMAGE: http://img706.imageshack.us/img706/3392/img68295.jpg

The picture didn't get uploaded but. The tripod also comes with spiked feet which was hidden in this compartment. They are easy to add and remove from the current rubberized feet
IMAGE: http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/6718/img68306.jpg

With my Kata203 on there
IMAGE: http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/8082/img68328.jpg

IMAGE: http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/289/img68339.jpg

This is with the tripod in a normal orientation. I don't think when it's folded inverted that I could somehow fit it on my bag. But as you can see, it's still decently compact.

Overall - The tripod is excellent quality. Greater then what I expected. Everything about is is well done, down to the annodization. There is barely any plastic on the entire thing.

I would recommend it to anyone looking for a travel tripod that doesn't want to spend 600$. I don't see how it could get much better then this. It's beautiful.

once again - sorry for the dark images. I provided some review of each piece in the pictures. But personally when I look at reviews of stuff. I look at the pictures and the overall experience. So I kept it short. I also have not seen anyone else with this tripod, so pictures are even more relevant.

Nice first impressions (I do agree anodized stuff looks sexy, and I really want to get a tripod with anodized stuff, but I'm afraid it would be too flashy, and attract thieves more than a boring old black one would)...but thanks for the write up, I'll check into that model...when I tried out a few Benros, I wasn't impressed with the grip on the knobs (they were sliding around), maybe it was just a beat-to-hell display model...would love to see your impression of this tripod after you've used it for a while.

Also...love your signature, good for you for offering to help others out just because you're a nice guy! :)

Good looking tripod, being a racer I love the flashy color just add a few sponsor stickers! Give us a follow-up review after using it in the field.

It's not that flashy honestly. I mean, it stands out. But if someone is going to steal your stuff, it's likely going to be your camera. I'd be surprised if a thief knew the price of a tripod.

Also - The grips on here are slightly different then the actual Benros. Its one reason I wanted to buy this model over them. The grips on the legs are built differently and look better. I played with them quite a bit and things didn't seem to slip from what I can tell.

350$ Total. Great price for both the tripod and head. The quality of this tripod is, once again, astounding for the price. I don't have anything to compare it too, but I couldn't see it getting much better than this.

Thank you for the detailed walkthrough of sorts. Really good to see the product up close as these on eBay can be very vague and not as detailed as you might like (or sometimes misleading).

I was considering the same tripod albeit the C2340Q2 due to the lesser number of sections for better leg section width.

Curious though, did you look at the likes of HorusBennu before choosing? Their tripods seem to have similar quality and price but they have models with thicker leg sections.

I did look. But after reading quite a few complaints on these forums. I decided against it. I did this for two reasons

1) I don't really see any major complaints about benro. However, from what I have read about the HorrusBennu's, they are not on the same quality level. Although the price is relatively the same

2) The fact that B&H carries Benro for roughly 520$ for the model I got, gave me the impression that the quality and history of Benro is more reliable. Just via the fact that they would carry the product gives me more incentive of their manufacturing.

Really? Searched a bit through and couldn't find anything really bad about HB just yet, will trudge through again.
