A different family of Great Horned Owls

Forum member Don1 has posted so many great photos of the Great Horned Owls at the park he's been visiting, I thought I'd add a few from another local park that also has a couple of little ones nesting and growing.

His photos have me striving to improve mine.

Very nice shots Mike, mom doesn't look too thrilled with you at all being in the vicinity of her babies.

isnt it cool how fast birds grow.
its just a few weeks and theyre almost grown up.

Mom was busy tearing into something, looked possibly like a possum, so she had her head down into her nest and just looked up periodically to see what was going on, hence her evil 'low profile' look lol

a few more of mom in the nest. One looking quite intense the other looking quite relaxed.. probably within 5 minutes of each other.

I sure hope I can find a nest this year. Great job on these I enjoyed them.

Very nice and with two owlets to feed there will likely be many decent opportunities to see some activity during daylight hours.

Nice series. Hope my GHO is back at Shark Valley this year with another "bundle of joy". I'm going there in about ten days.
