I'm having fun capturing our nephew's first year. This 6 month portrait was taken in his house. I wanted to incorporate the beautiful floors and baseboards! Thanks for looking!

Great shot that could of been improved by moving the basket off centre more to the right and by moving the brown cabinet from the background so you just had wall and skirting boards showing.

Thanks, everyone! Really appreciate your feedback. He really is a handsome little fella. I've posted a second version with a tighter crop to bring more attention to him.

I love this shot.... but something about it is screaming back to me "it's not quite perfect yet". Maybe it's the difference in the blurring of the floor in the picture (right side of the photo vs the left side). I think the way the light is hitting the floor on the left side is pleasing but would like that more if it was more even across the picture.

honestly? I think I'd like the picture better if he was just in front of the wall/baseboard rather than the piece of furniture kind of hanging out in the background.

BUT - your nephew is a handsome little boy!!! and you captured his personality beautifully in this picture!

Jen, thank you very much for those thoughtful comments. I totally get what you're saying about the floor. I noticed that, too, and I wished the light coverage was more even! It was a challenge even getting that much coverage because there was a large, dark chandelier in the middle of the foyer, just above the furniture. And about the furniture, I've had some mixed reviews on the inclusion of it, so I can totally see both sides.
