I never thought it rained out west?
I headed out on the sunday and only took in half of the day.
The rain and cloud was enough to make me leave...
Mercedes SLS are a dream car aren't they? though I would prefer and ealrier 1960's model.

All straight from camera.
Any comments welcomed.

Whats all that about ?? Thought you Aussies were more hardcore than that.

The shots look good, but do not understand why folk cannot be bothered to edit them prior to showcasing their work.

Hi Chris,
I did shoot both in Raw and in small JPEG files. At the moment I don't have any editing programs( apart from dpp) so i shot two formats. I'm not likely to get any editing programs till mid year. So I'll post the jpegs now rather then six months down the track, and are the jpegs that bad??

Fair play, good luck with Editing stuff ,certainly will help on those dark days which we get in our Welsh Rally Forests ,and when I went to Spa the other day ,when it was freezing, cold, dark and wet .

Re J Pegs ,great if light is good ,but I found hard work when gods conspire against you .

These pics look very good ,and show great action,no mean feat that.

Not sure if I have seen much wet stuff posted from Bathurst before.

To be fair that is some lovely machinery you have posted, bet they sounded great.

Yeh cool, I do normally just shoot in Raw then convert but kinda hard at the mo.
I have been to Bathurst 3 times now and every time it has rained on me..and it's meant to be summer here??
With out sounding gay yeh the merc's & audis sound awesome, the merc's have such a deep throaty sound very nice.

And the second shot for anyone that wants to know was taken with the 15mm fish eye, just been cropped a little. Would of liked a slower shutter speed but was hard to own on such a small speeding vehical.

Smithers, I was hoping to catch up with you there.
I've still got to get mine edited to post on my site and here...On top of the 14 hour drive home on Monday, I've been busy with stuff for clients etc, and now I'm up to my eyeballs with Clipsal from Tuesday.
At least I'll have a few days of relative sanity before the F1's in Melbourne.

Pons, that rain and fog was evil on Sunday...at one stage the flaggies had to create intermediate points. Viz was down to less than 100 metres. Friday and Saturday were glorious though.

Sarge, Bathurst is so user friendly for punters without creds. You really need to get there for either the V8's, the 12 Hour or even the Easter meeting.
That place is something else.

Hi Phil,
Look I saw you a few times but was kinda held back from approaching you (sounds stupid), I just didn't want to bother you whilst working. Sounds like you have enough on in the next weeks, looking forward to your pics.
Yeh the visability was pretty bad, I went back to the top of the mountain around 1pm and just thought this is pointless. Along with the rain I just decided to pull the pin.
And shooting at Bathurst is pretty friendly I wish you could walk around it all though and shoot from the inside(top of mountain).

Phil you still doing rallies??

Geez, am I that intimidating...hahaha.
It's all good. I'm always up for a chat.
If I can't talk, I'll soon let you know.
If it's aat a track, I can always talk at the end of the session/race
Next time you see me at an event, bail me up and at least say G'day.

Yeah mate, still doing rallies.
That's how I got started with all this stuff a bit over 25 years ago.
You're right...I've got plenty on over the next few weeks - with a couple of events happening on the same weekend and about 400kms apart - a state round rally at Millicent on the Saturday and Shannons Nationals at Mallala on the Sunday (can't remember the dates) - not sure how I'm going to juggle those two
