Canon Lens Rebates extended again

It looks like Canon extended the rebates again until March 31. I see the following at Canon Direct lens pages. Seriously, they should just reduce the list price and move on

Are you kidding me? They extended it a 3rd time?

Most everything is discounted. They're probably replacing at most 1/10th of the lineup this year. This is about more than just clearing inventory. We didn't see extended rebate periods like this the last 2 years.

Sweet. This gives me another month to save up.

Damn them all to hell!! Now I have to order my 3rd L lens in 3 months........BASTARDS​!!

If I had kids I'd be feeding them lens caps and soft bags by now.....
