How much would you pay for the 5D III?

If the 5D III does everything we hear and expect and is the 22mp camera with the better AF, somewhat better high ISO noise, etc., how much are you willing to pay? And, how much can you afford to pay? And, how much do you feel the feature set is worth?

Are you a professional paid photographer or a hobbyist who does not make money from photography? How do the price and your photography income (or non-income for hobbyists) affect your choice of whether or not you will buy the camera?

the same as a 5DII when it was new? technology becomes better and cheaper if you look at anything else... TVs, computers, etc... all are better now than they were 5 years ago, and cheaper. If canon ups the price very much, I'll probably just buy a used 5DII while everyone is trading in. Market should be nice and flooded.

I can see it starting at $2699 US when first introduced and rapidly dropping to $2499. If the rumored $3500 US hold true, it better have way more than a few pixels and a slightly better AF.

What would I pay or what would I want to pay? I'm sure I'll pay whatever they are asking, but I would love it if it came in under 3,0000.00

Announced 3250€ in Europe. Since, in electronics, the currency is 1$=1€, I would say : 3250$ !

From the specs announced, no more than $3000, maybe $3200 if it has dual card slots (even if they're not both CF)
