Ran out of time posting the poll to the last thread. Just like when I write emails, I take forever to make polls.

I'll wait till the first canon rebate, after it's released... I'm sure i'll save 100-200 dollars.

I'm guessing these proposed prices are body only. I'll have to say that $3,500 seems pretty steep unless there is some really revolutionary stuff in there.

I wouldn't call myself a pro but I plan on making some money with it. I'm hoping it's more around 3000 than 3500 or else I might have to go with a discounted 5D MKII.

When the 5D MKII came out I wasn't interested because of the old auto focus system on it and said to myself I'd go for the MKIII when it came out...

Unless this camera has amazing video that can outdo the D800's quality, 3K would be the max for me.I think that charging over the Nikon D800 would simply be ridiculous considering the rumored specs aren't incredibly impressive.

+1, except I would still not pay 3k for it. If it has amazing video I would consider 3k for it though.

In the world of Monopoly, you'll have to pay for what they ask. Still hoping for a price lower than $3.5K.

Silly poll, since nothing has been confirmed about the specs.

It's a perfectly reasonable and appropriate poll.............for silly people.

I wouldn't pay another dime for mark III. There's barely any upgrades besides the improved AF. Otherwise I'll keep my mark II's
