Decided to take a day trip before the really bad weather set in. The temperature was around 32 degrees F and the wind chill was waaaay below that. Downright frigid.

Of course, that didn't stop the guys in pic 4. :D

Nice shots. Last time I was there...June, 1986 for the US Open at Shinnecock. It really feels like the end of the earth out there on the point.

Nice shots. I like the close up of the lighthouse.

Manitoba. I planned to drive all across Canada, but gave up in Sask (hay/wheat field overload) and returned to the US for a while. Also Newfoundland, but I have hopes on that one.

Great to see the Montauk Point...
My fav. is the Light of the Lighthouse...

The surfers are pretty cool too...

I'm a member of the Montauk Surfcasters Assoc. (fishing from shore)....someday I'll make it out to the tip of Long Island and catch me a big fish too...and bring back some photos too...No surfing for me though...

Over the years I'd run my boat from Jersey to Montauk quite a few times, always comforting to see the lighthouse. I can remember standing at the lighthouse and looking out to Block Island with all the boats lined up on the rips, Striped Bass fishing.

I like all the pictures but wish you could have substituted surf fishermen for surfers. ;)
