Trying out Cinema Style

On a whim i decided to tail my cousin and nephew at the park to test out Cinema Style. I was using technicolor cinestyle prior to this. Just like to hear your thoughts. Processed with FCP X (also a little new im used to FC7) and ramped up the colors.

The focus looked a little soft in the scene when she was driving other than that very cool. Thanks for sharing.

WOW, that baby couldn't be any cuter! Love the shots of him smiling at the lens. The color looked great and other than a few spots where focus was off, it was pretty great. I really liked the cut together sequences, it helped with the flow nicely. Your cousin will cherish that video for years to come.

Thanks for the reply all! Yeah I agree focus was an issue for me. Gonna try and work on that for next time.

I really love the colors in all of this footage! Forgive my ignorance but is "cinema style" a plugin or a post processing thing?

Thanks for the reply. It is a picture style preset. Just like Technicolor cinestyle it gives a somewhat flat image although no post is required because it looks fine the way it is. I just ramped up the colors because Cinema Style's colors were a little faded. Here is the link if you want to check it out.

Picture Profiles are a way of changing the look of your footage or stills before you get to post. You should try playing with them, it's kind of fun actually!

The experience of trying for the Cinemas style is really wonderful. Normally, I want to focus more on just the photo, without all the distractions of the Light room's panels, I press Shift-Tab, which hides the top, bottom and also side panels from view, so all we see is the photo, but on this particular day, instead I had just the side panels and looking at the screen and thinking about wide cropping which really looks cool.

did you do any CC or grading in post or is this straight out-of-the-camera using the cinema PP?
