The engine seals kept blowing. I could deal with the PIA of the seals, but it had severe shimmy when over 130 mph, I'd verified this was common in many of them with other owners. They were never able to remedy that. I had one of the very early 996's, they told me mine was off the first boat. I'd ordered as soon as they were taking orders.
