Nope. It has no AA filter. This would introduce moire in certain situations. Specifically with certain clothing patterns and architecture.

Doesn't LR4 have built in moire removal?

Yep, it is supposed to.

This is the Football. I am starting to feel so sorry for her!

She's so big at this point her fur sticks out funny.

I like to push buttons on thingies that take pictures. Sometimes I like to push other buttons, too.

Hmm... well the advantage of the D800 is it's cheaper and you'd get it sooner, and well quite frankly AA filters haven't been a huge issue anyway.

It's a shame they don't come out at the same time then you could hold of a bit and see which one you prefer.

If you're really concerned about moire just get the D800. :D

I just found this. It's a short article about moire and LR4.

The article says Photoshop can remove moire completely. Have you explored that?

Yes I have. I'm not sure if I want to put that extra step in my workflow. What do you think? Stay with the E and die?;)

FatCat

We're calling her "Football" because she's pregnant - very wide in the middle at this point. She is an absolute sweetie. So is her brother. At this point we're trying to trap a half-wild dog, too. Apparently people were evicted at the top of the hill and just set all their house pets "free" when they moved rather than taking them to a shelter, etc. Duchess and George found us, but the dog has been living by its wits though it recently found the cat food on the front porch. We're worried it will turn chicken killer if we don't catch it, retame it and feed it. :(

And this is from someone who does not particularly enjoy the company of a cat.

She is adorable... very affectionate. One day I accidentally locked her in my truck for six hours - she jumped in while I was unloading the chicken feed and I didn't see her. She was kind of cross with me when I found her later when I was on my way to town...

She absolutely loves people - head butts them, rubs all over them, etc. Her brother will run along side you, get in front of you, lay down and roll over to be petted, get up when you quit petting, run a few feet more, lay down, roll over to be petted, etc.... They both want to be house cats. She got to move in so we don't lose track of her when the kittens are born. George isn't neutered yet, so he isn't in the house. He's getting more insistent about it now that she is in here. Who said that cats don't think about things like "fair?"
