I think if I am going for 2 weeks ALONE, I would probably just bring my big roller bag + camera bag so I could put my tripod inside it :lol:

I don't have any big rolling bags, so duffel bags it is. :p

I bought a plastic rolling bag to Japan coz I don't wanna risk putting the tripod into a soft bag

nope they seem fine :D I just used it now and it seems fine although I'll still bring the D700 to Nikon to have the damn hot shoe fixed :(

The 105mm have some paint scratch though...although I am surprised there was very little damage to it, it hit the rough concrete harder than all the other stuff.
