ahhh I don't consider my Camera bag as luggage... so 2 medium duffel bag + camera bag is ok I guess

I think if I am going for 2 weeks ALONE, I would probably just bring my big roller bag + camera bag so I could put my tripod inside it

I bought a plastic rolling bag to Japan coz I don't wanna risk putting the tripod into a soft bag

nope they seem fine I just used it now and it seems fine although I'll still bring the D700 to Nikon to have the damn hot shoe fixed

The 105mm have some paint scratch though...although I am surprised there was very little damage to it, it hit the rough concrete harder than all the other stuff.

not really sure about other differences...but the SB-910 incorporates everything that was introduced in the SB-700 like the Plastic Filters instead of Gel... and I dunno what other stuff
