I have been researchig video stabilizer units for run and gun shooting. I was thinking of the Halo-Rig or the Alzo Transformer. I did not want a steadicam-like stabilizer and I did want a rig on which I can mount a LED video light and perhaps a microphone.

I found the Cam-Rak rig on eBay for a very good price and have decided to order one. Does anyone have any experience with this rig?

My primary use will be with a Panasonic TM900 camcorder and a Canon 7D DSLR to shoot videos of rescue dogs for posting on Internet rescue sites. A good video goes a long way in creating interest in rescue dogs...
