I wonder if dpreview and other credible reviewers will get their 5DII's before the end of March? Perhaps some of them already has it and we'll be able to see reviews sooner than later. That would be very nice.

No, i got to use it for a couple of minutes. Felt great.

Since it doesn't have 1D build quality did it fall apart as soon as you touched it? ;):p

click on it and view the original ROFL. Typical fanboy response to something he doesnt understand and spews garbage "facts" around. BTW I shot nikon in the film days and shoot Nikons at work so calling me a fanboy back will just make me laugh!

I already did, but the largest size I could see was 1024?

I'm pretty sure most camera magazines / websites got their test cameras by now. Making these reviews takes alot of time and effort. I am sure that Canon want the reviews to be out in time for the release date.

The people defending this camera tooth and nail, are actually harming themselves and others, instead they should letting Canon know what's up, then by a miracle, they might diversify their camera line, but they certainly won't if there isn't the demand due to the REAL fanboys defending constantly due to the inability to separate irrational emotion and logic ...

This is something I never understand either... It's okay to recognize shortcoming in the gear (assuming it is the gear and not the user). I've used a 7D and currently shoot with 5D and 5D2. While the 7D is indeed an impressive camera, and while you can still get good detail there is definitely a lack of detail present (I'm looking at old stuff i shot with a 100L).

I hope this isn't the case with the 5D3, but I've also grown to loathe the limitations of the 5D2/5D AF system. Sure I can work around it by using center point only, but why compromise my framing and composition, or risk pesky back-focusing problems? Personally, I don't "need" 100% picture clarity as much as I want reliable AF. And I suspect that the images we've seen do not adequately represent the the capabilities of the new 5D anyway. Time will tell.

In the meantime, I think it's totally okay to be upset about the pricing, the features, the MP or whatever it is that doesn't sit well with you... That's how we got the 5D3--LOTS of complaining about the AF (and not really much else, right?)... But it's silly to assume that your needs match every one else's and that just because you are okay with something everyone else should be too. Likewise, just because you are NOT okay with something, everyone else should be upset also. Funny thing about the world...there's a LOT of people with different needs (and wants).

Then what is it about? Cus it just comes off as trolling tbh. Ive shot both systems, and for the most part theres not much difference til you get to high iso, or if you push you image really far and need dynamic range.

The spec list is great, who can complain?
However EVERY SINGLE IMAGE SAMPLE sucks, yet your not having doubts?

No, the sample images from a lot of previous Canon's sucked too. I looked at the dpreview RAW image test (which is not a great test setup for some things) and I don't see anything there that made me think your assertion is correct.

I'm hardly a 'fanboy' which is simply a useless term tossed out by people who don't know how to conduct a conversation. I was actually very unhappy with the spec sheet of the 5D2, a fact that I've complained about numerous times. I felt the D700 upstaged the 5D2 for still photographers as it had a better feature set.

Now I think the 5D3 is the one that is better than the D800. I personally see the D800 as a step in the wrong direction for Nikon because it does not improve on the few things that the D700 needed fixed.

The 5D3 actually addresses (on the spec sheet) every complaint I had about the 5D2.
