It's kinda hard to tell but I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic.

Entirely possible, and it's late enough that my sarcasm detector is probably not at peak efficiency.

What's the guesstimating on a clean used 5dii now that the market will be flooded with them? I had my heart set on one of these but $3500 is outta my price range for a hobby:(
Around here $3500 would buy a nice little used car, I can't justify that on a camera. I'm hoping for a $1200-$1500 range on a used 5d mkii eventually.

I don't think the used 5D2's will drop much in price while the 5D3's are $3,500. However in a few months when the price drops, you will see them go down.

There was no sense being made as the prices were wrong.

22MP will manage 20x30" at 200dpi, or 26x39" at 150dpi, which is OK for larger prints. You can also push it a bit further with good interpolation software.

But, when you're talking larger prints (40x60" is pretty standard, or 24x72" or 32x96" panoramas) you really need more resolution.

i though medium formats were for those types of printing capabilities?

I'm think she might need to change her nickname to "Miss Rememberin" because the 5D debuted at $2699 on the button. :)

Sure, but then I've got some really nice 30x40" prints on my walls that came from a 7D.

What would you change for the 5D MK IV?

Articulating LCD screen please. It's so helpful for any angle.

So am I gonna get lynched too if I say I'm not impressed by the sample images either? Some obvious noise reduction smearing going on. Why do they put out samples like this every time? Just doesn't make sense.

I wonder if the current BG-E6 will still be compatible with 5D3.
And vice versa, BG-E11 with 5D2.

Only if you're a big company or Peter Lik. Most other work - a lot of Nat Geo work included - is done on full-frame bodies.
