I got frustrated with looking at all these soft images from the 5D3.

Why is it so hard for Canon to get images that show some usable level of sharpness that the 5D2 can show, like this:

(can't understand why getting a sharp image is easy for an amateur like me but not for highly paid Canon testers?)

Now, now, now...didn't stop you from getting the 5D II when the same testers posted those soft images back then :p

You posted some nice clean shots though. Just curious, were they sharpened at all?

Your forgot single point AF! Only one lone, center cross-type AF point. :D

After looking at your gear list, I'm honestly curious what you think you'd gain by buying a 5D3 at the "right out of the gate" price instead of using what you have until the 5D3 "gold rush" settles at least a little?

If there are any glitches 'right out of the gate', I am willing to give them a few months to get them ironed out. I want mine to be as perfect as my 5DII.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Those samples are indeed impressive. However, they look substantially better than all other samples from earlier today. It makes me wonder if they have been edited..

Is there a way to view the Digitalrev samples at 100%? All I'm seeing is web-sized pics.

By then, I will have mastered my manual focus, so feel free to drop the center AF :-) :-)

6fps is so lame. Its too slow for sports and who cares for portraits. 4 fps on my MKII is perfect and 10 on my 1DMKIII is perfect. 6fps is pointless.

If you're planning to use this camera for sports, I think you're using the wrong one. It's targeting weddings, events (and even casual landscape) photographers.

However, 6fps is still very good. :)

a crying shame, only 6 FPS

Yep, would have sold my MKIII at 8 fps but its too slow at 6. 10 on my MKIII is very nice and I have shot 6.5 on my 40D and it was bordering on too slow for the beach volleyball I shoot.

Exactly, who cares about 6pfs for portraits. Thats why I shoot with a 5DII on my weddings and portrait sessions.

I remembered when the 5D2 was announced...all the tested images were soft as well and it did raised a storm...

Well look at how it's being praised now...

Just wait and see some real life examples...:)
