Anyone heard word from Crutchfield? I ordered from them yesterday. Customer service keeps calling me, making sure all my info is correct.. I had to do like 4 different verifications and such...

Man, I hate to even suggest this... Right here in this thread (with links to your blog etc.) you gave me all the info I would need to call you and say:

Derek, I'm XXX from crutchfield and I want to send out your 5DIII today, but first, can you verify your credit card number?

Did you give the caller any info?

No CC info or anything like that.

Always good to be cautious, but Crutchfield has a standard practice of confirming purchases over a certain $ amount.

Yeah that's what they said, because the dollar amount of the order. It was from the same number every time so I'm good.

Well, I already have one here...

I just called buy.com (9:50 am CST), they have TWO in stock @ $3,499. I was just about to place an order until I found out there is a sales tax for IL (they are both housed in an IL warehouse). I guess I'll still patiently wait for my Adoroma order...

On a side note, Buy.com also has some in stock coming from Beach @ $3,583.00 if anyone is interested in paying a tad more to get it sooner.

Just FYI.. You are still liable for IL sales tax if you purchase from Adoroma, even though they don't collect it.

If anyone out there is still waiting on their preorder from B&H, mine just went to "In stock, order sent to warehouse". We'll see if I get a tracking number tonight or not, but it seems like progress.

You should have our email with your tracking number by now. If not, I can email it to you. We're processing a batch of bodies for shipping right now and others here should be happier soon also.

Folks, PLEASE do not inundate me (or our customer service guys) with "Me too?" and "where am I in the queue?" or "how many did you get?" emails if at all possible. We are shipping as many as we have as quickly as we can.

I feel bad for most of you guys, I love BH but for some reason big guys this time didn't mean the best guys.... I had my order placed very late but still if you think about it it wasn't that late I placed my order late because some surprise very important photo session and I know that some of the new things can help me, I was trying to get some info if I will be get my camera before April 23rd. BH said: we don't know but probably no.... then they I got info from very good source that second shipping date is April 2nd but they don;t know how many cameras they will be getting from Canon.... I asked my source whats the chance to get my camera before April 23rd.... my source said: 5% of chances I've been shopping at BH for loooong time and it's been always my first choice spot for photo equipment. This time I was pretty much forced to change my supplier.... I canceled my order at BH and the same day I order camera from small retailer. No extra charges, plus I got some free stuff, useless in my situation but its free right and My camera was delivered next day at 12:25pm.... If you have some important shooting and need camera asap you cans till find it, you just need to look and make a few phone calls because sometimes website is saying no but store has in stock what you need.... GOOD LUCK GUYS ! So far I love MK III, however I'll say if its good or not after the season

i am getting the new flash this friday...shipped ground from B&H last week
